Di(N-succinimidyl) glutarate

Homobifunctional cross-linking reagent; e.g. isolation of insulin receptor

DSG is disuccinimidyl glutarate, a simple homobifunctional crosslinker builded on the amine-reactive N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester group at both sidws of a 7.7 angstrom spacer arm. It is used for crosslinking the amine moiety of several molecules. DSG is cell membrane-permeable and it is used in ChIP assays to determine DNA-protein binding interactions.
